ENCLOSURES: May 27, 2004
RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution, with
attachment(s), authorizing the City Manager to execute sub -recipient agreements between the
City of Miami and the CRA for the re -programming of CDBG funds allocated to the CRA from
the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall to other CRA Projects.
BACKGROUND:
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development is requiring that CDBG
funds originally allocated to fund redevelopment of the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall be re-
programmed to other projects. The City Manager is requesting authority to enter into the
required sub -recipient agreements between the City and the CRA so that these funds may be
used for the Grand Promenade Interim Improvement Project and other CRA infrastructure, land
acquisition, historic preservation, and transportation projects as approved by the CRA's Board of
Directors.
The pro osed resolution does not have a budgetary impact on the general fund.
