NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on
May 27, 2004 at 9:00 a.m., in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500 Pan
American Drive, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of waiving competitive negotiation
procedures for the procurement of professional services for the management of
approximately 3.29 acres of City -owned property, located at 6161 Northwest 9th Avenue,
Miami, Florida (the "Property"); and authorizing the City Manager to execute a
management agreement ("Agreement"), with Belafonte Tacolcy Center, Inc., a non-profit
corporation, for the management of the Property for the purpose of providing youth
development and educational programs to all segments of the community, with an initial
term of fifteen years (15) years with one option to renew for fifteen years (15) years.
All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard concerning such proposed
award. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with
respect to any matter considered at this hearing, that person shall ensure that a verbatim
record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any
appeal may be based.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special
