CITY OF MIAMI
CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
MEMORANDUM
Please be advised that the subject proposed ordinance to establish a 90-day moratorium
on the acceptance of applications for construction of new buildings within specified portions of
the Southwest 27th Avenue Corridor, must first go to the Planning Advisory Board (PAB) for
consideration and recommendation prior to consideration by the City Commission.
Consequently, I'm advising that this matter be sent to the Planning Advisory Board, and then
returned to the City Commission for First Reading.
The PAB is scheduled to meet April 7th, April 21, May 5th and May 19th. Approximately
14 days (including newspaper lead-time) is needed to satisfy requisite newspaper public notice
requirements. As a consequence, and to expedite this matter, the Hearing Boards Office and
the Planning and Zoning Department are requested and directed to place the referenced
item on the April 21, 2004 PAB agenda and provide requisite notice.
