Thompson City Clerk Date: April 9, 2004 Subject: Nuisance Abatement Board References: May 6, 2004 Agenda Enclosures: List of members The Nuisance Abatement Board was created to resolve controversies over the existence of public nuisances, such as violative use of property in Miami. All five members' terms will expire on May 5, 2004: • Commissioner Gonzalez has one nomination for seat currently held by Lazaro J. Lopez, Esq. • Commissioner Winton has one nomination for seat currently held by Shane Graber. • Vice Chairman Sanchez has one nomination for seat currently held by Robert Valledor. Mr. Valledor has served as a member since May 5, 1994. Pursuant to Code Sec. 2- 885(b), no board member shall serve more than eight consecutive years on any one board. This provision may be waived by a unanimous vote of the members of the City Commission. • Commissioner Regalado has one nomination for seat currently held by Monique Taylor. • Chairman Teele has one nomination for seat currently held by James Moss. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the May 6, 2004 Commission agenda.
