HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-04-0301City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-04-0301 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-00420 Final Action Date: 5/6/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION CODESIGNATING SOUTHWEST 26TH AVENUE FROM SOUTHWEST 28TH STREET TO SOUTH DIXIE HIGHWAY, MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS "SCORNAVACCAAVENUE;" FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE DIRECTOR OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE HEREIN DESIGNATED OFFICES. WHEREAS, pursuant to City Commission directive, the Miami Street Codesignation Review Committee, at its meeting of December 10, 2003, reviewed and recommended the proposal for street codesignation of Southwest 26th Avenue from SW 26th Street to South Dixie Highway, Miami, Florida, is codesignated as "Scornavacca Avenue;" NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Southwest 26th Avenue from SW 26th Street to South Dixie Highway, Miami, Florida, is codesignated as "Scornavacca Avenue." Section 3. The City Manager is directed to instruct the Director of Municipal Services to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Departments of Police, Fire -Rescue, Solid Waste, Miami -Dade County Public Works and the United States Postal Service. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
