RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
transferring $500,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG) from the
Department of Economic Development to the Department of Capital Improvement Projects to be
used in projects in need of funds.
BACKGROUND:
On June 24, 2004, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 03-710 allocating $500,000
from FY 2003-2004 CDBG entitlement funds. The allocated funds were to be used in
conjunction with funds to be provided by the Miami -Dade Office of Community and Economic
Development; however, these county matching funds have been delayed. At the same time, the
Department of Capital Improvement Projects has identified several projects requiring funding.

It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution transferring $500,000
in Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG) from the Department of Economic
Development to the Department of Capital Improvement Projects.
The proposed Resolution reallocates CDBG Program funds and does not have a budgetary
impact on the General Fund.
