RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution
accepting the bid of NCI CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION, a company located within the
City of Miami with offices at 130 SW 8 Street, Suite 200, Miami, Florida 33130, whose
principal is Mr. Allen J. Thompson, President, for 'LAWRENCE STORMWATER PUMP
STATION UPGRADES (3RD BIDDING), B-5650B, received on March 4, 2004 in the amount
of $202,047 Total Bid; authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract on behalf of
the City.

Discussion: The Department of Public Works has evaluated the bids received on March 4,
2004, and determined that the lowest responsible and responsive bid, in the amount of
$202,047, is from NCI Construction Corporation, a Hispanic -Minority controlled
Corporation. Funds are available to cover the contract cost, and for such incidental items
as postage, blueprinting, advertising, reproduction costs, testing, etc.
