HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-04-0254City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-04-0254 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-00357 Final Action Date: 4/22/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE CONTRACT AWARDED TO PRESTIGE ELEVATOR, INC., PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 03-633, ADOPTED JUNE 12, 2003, IN AN ESTIMATED ANNUAL CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $20,000, FROM $33,720 TO $53,720, TO PROVIDE CITYWIDE ELEVATOR MAINTENANCE SERVICES, ON AN AS -NEEDED CONTRACT BASIS UNDER THE EXISTING CONTRACT TERMS, CONDITIONS AND OPTIONS TO RENEW, SUBJECT TO INCREASES DUE TO THE ADDITION OF NEW FACILITIES; AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 03-633 TO REFLECT SAID INCREASE; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL OPERATING BUDGETS OF VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES, SUBJECT TO BUDGETARY APPROVAL. WHEREAS, due to increased elevator maintenance requirements necessary throughout the City of Miami ("City"), the Department of Purchasing has seen a need to increase the contract, in an amount not to exceed $20,000, increasing the total contract amount from $33,720 to $53,720; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. An increase in the contract awarded to Prestige Elevator, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $20,000, is authorized and Resolution No. 03-633, adopted June 12, 2003, is adopted in the following particulars:{1} "Resolution No. 03-633 Section 1. The bid received from Prestige Elevator, Inc. for the acquisition of elevator maintenance services to be utilized by various user departments and agencies is accepted, on an as -needed contract basis for a two-year period, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods at an estimated annual amount not to exceed $33,720 $53,720, subject to increases due to the addition of new facilities as needed, and as allowed by conditions of the bid, with funds allocated from the Operating Budgets of the various user departments and agencies, subject to budgetary approval. *,I City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 04-00357 (Version: 11 Printed On: 9/8/2016 File Number: 04-00357 Enactment Number: R-04-0254 Section 3. Funds for said increase are allocated from the operating budgets of the various departments and agencies, as may be adjusted from time to time by the City Commission in the Annual Appropriations/Capital Improvements Ordinances, or as otherwise adjusted as permitted by law. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} Footnotes: {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
