HomeMy WebLinkAboutPublic Hearing NoticeCity of Miami Department of Community Development The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing to discuss Issues relating to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other HUD Programs. Tuesday, April 8, 2004, 3:00 P.M. City of Miami Commission Chamber 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, Florida 33133 Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any amendments to funding of HUD programs. In addition, the public Is advised of the proposed amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) indicated below: 1. * Discussion and Resolution accepting Funds from US HUD under the American Dream Downpayment Initiative for FY 2003 and FY 2004 In the amounts of $204,049 and $240,784, respectively; to be used for down payment assistance and authorizing City Manager to execute necessary documents to receive the funds, 2. * Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the following transfer of funds: ALLOCATE FUNDS FROM: Program/Activity Amount ALLOCATE FUNDS TO: Program/Activity Amount District 5 Little Haiti Job Creation Pilot Project $90,000 Tarpun Bay USA, Inc. $90,000 Total $90.OQO Total $90,000 a, * Discussion and Resolution de -obligation of Latin Quarter Cultural Center and transferring funds to the Little Havana Homeownership Zone Trust: Program/Activity Amount Program/Activity Amount The Latin Quarter Cultural Center of Miami, Inc. (28th Year) $40,000 The Latin Quarter Cultural Center of Miami, Inc. (29'h Year) $40,000 Little Havana Homeownership Zone Trust $80,000 Total $80,000 Total $80,000 * The adoption of this Ordinance/Resolution, by the City Commission, authorizes the City Manager to amend the appropriate City of Miami annual Action Plan. Interested Individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The meeting site Is accessible to the handicapped.
