HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-04-0215City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-04-0215 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-00277 Final Action Date: 4/8/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN COMPENSATION FOR THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OF MARLIN ENGINEERING, INC., PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY RESOLUTION NO. 03-087, ADOPTED JANUARY 23, 2003, FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "NW 14TH STREET PROJECT, B-5686," FOR CHANGES OF THE DESIGN, INCLUSION OF ADDITIONAL PORTION AND THE RELATED CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $199,730.04, INCREASING COMPENSATION FROM $134,600 TO $334,330.04, BASED ON (1) THE MODIFIED SCOPE OF SERVICES AND SCHEDULE REQUIRED FOR SAID PROJECT, AND (2) TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THE AGREEMENT WITH MARLIN ENGINEERING EXECUTED PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 02-144, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 14, 2002; ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR SAID INCREASE, IN ATOTALAMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $199,730.04, FOR SERVICES AND EXPENSES INCURRED BY THE CITY, FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 341183, ENTITLED "CITYWIDE STREET IMPROVEMENTS FISCAL YEAR 2001-2005;" AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SUPPLEMENTAL WORK ORDER, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM; AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 03-087 TO REFLECT SAID INCREASE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. An increase in compensation for the professional services of Marlin Engineering, Inc., previously approved by Resolution No. 03-087, adopted January 23, 2003, for the project entitled "N.W. 14th Street Project, B-5686," in an amount not to exceed $199,730.04, from $134,600 to $334,330.04, for services and expenses incurred by the City of Miami, for changes of the design, inclusion of additional portion and the related construction administration services, based on (1) the modified scope of services and schedule required for said project, and (2) terms and conditions set forth in the agreement with Marlin Engineering, executed pursuant to Resolution No. 02-144, adopted February 14, 2002, is authorized. Section 2. Resolution No. 03-087 is amended in the following particulars:{1} "Resolution No. 03-087 Section 2. The City Manager's engagement of Marlin Engineering, Inc., selected from the list of pre -approved engineering firms, approved by Resolution No. 02-144, is authorized for the design development, preparation of bidding and City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 04-00277 (Version: 21 Printed On: 9/7/2016 File Number: 04-00277 Enactment Number: R-04-0215 construction documents, and construction administration consulting services related to the Northwest 14th Street Project, at specific costs to be determined by (1) the scope of services required for said project, and (2) terms and conditions set forth in the agreement executed with Marlin pursuant to Resolution No. 02-144, with funds, in an amount not to exceed $134,600 $334,330.04 for services and expenses incurred by the City, allocated from Capital Improvement Project No. 341183, entitled "Citywide Street Improvements FY 2001-2005." Section 3. Funds for said increase are allocated from Capital Improvement Project No. 341183 entitled "Citywide Street Improvements Fiscal Year 2001-2005." Section 4. The City Manager is authorized{2} to execute a supplemental Work Order Authorization, in substantially the attached form. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{3} Footnotes: {1} Words/and or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged. Asterisks indicate omitted and unchanged material. {2} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {3} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
