Assumed responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Trust, including but not
limited to: supervised management and operation of Trust activities; managed
consultants and staff engaged on behalf of the Trust; coordinated community planning
workshops; executed of all contracts on behalf of the Trust subject to the approval by
the Trust; attended all meetings of the Trust; researched and synthesized issues related
to compliance with laws and regulations related to the use of federal entitlement
dollars; coordinated agenda preparation; identified key resources to enable greater
success of the Trust's initiatives and their various components; prepared and furnished
such reports, audits and other information relating to the revitalization initiative to the
Trust as may be required by the Trust or the City; represented the Trust Board of
Directors before the City Commission and community groups; interfaced with City
Administration and City Attorney's Office to ensure progress of Trust initiatives;
briefed Board members on City and District activity as it developed to enable better
preparation to meet relevant issues; developed plans to increase community outreach

Tracked progress for the four major components of the revitalization effort (i.e.,
Planning, Financial, Acquisition/Relocation and Project Implementation Task Forces) to
ensure a steady rate of progress against projected milestones; ensured Trust's adherence
to the City of Miami's procurement procedures; interfaced with the City Attorney's
Office and/or Special Counsel as appropriate to ensure expedited processing of Trust's
contracts and other formation issues as may be required; coordinated lobbying efforts
for the pursuit of any state or federal legislative items that may be identified by the
Model City Community Revitalization District Trust ("Model City Trust"); observed
and track workshops outcomes to ensure proper documentation and execution of
Board's directives; coordinate the development of the Request for Proposals (RFP) to

such additional tasks as may be mutually agreed upon by President of Trust on behalf

executive training; coordinated strategic planning; chart and support progress on
departmental goals and objectives; reviewed all contracts submitted to the City
Manager for execution; served as liaison to State Financial Oversight Board; facilitated
communication and resolve of issues between the City Administration and the City's
semi -autonomous agencies; assisted department's in securing contract compliance;
coordinated employee morale programs (commendation, Monthly Achievement
Award, and Snacks with the Manager); supervised/coordinated various special projects
initiated by the City Manager, including development of the City's Capital
Improvement Project (CIP) Strategic Plan, compilation of proposed CIP projects for
bond issue, coordination of several elected officials workshops, and led departmental
efficiency reviews; and otherwise assisted the City Manager in the performance of his

Monitored and coordinated the efforts of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce,
Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Beacon Council, INROADS/Miami,
and Peoples National Bank through the implementation of a twenty point economic
blueprint that defined the resolution of Miami's tourism boycott. Additionally,
developed administrative systems, applied for grants, recruited and coordinated
volunteers, recruited participants, solicited and confirmed corporate sponsors and
raised funds for the Black Executive Forum, Inc., an entity that spun out of the Miami
Partners for Progress initiative.
