Resolution amending
Resolution No. 03-1243
to include the street vacation
of N.W. 1st Court from N.W.
9th Street to N.W. 8th Street
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully requested that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution
amending Resolution No. 03-1243 to include the street vacation of N.W. 1st Court from
N.W. 9th Street to N.W. 8th Street and authorizing the City Manager to waive all hearing
board fees.
BACKGROUND
The attached resolution amends Resolution No. 03-1243 to include the street vacation of
N.W. 1st Court from N.W. 9th Street to N.W. 8th Street and authorizing the City Manager
to waive all hearing board fees.
The City Commission adopted Resolution No. 03-1243 on December 18, 2003, accepting
and ratifying the CRA Board's actions relative to the historic Lyric Theater and directing
the City Manager to expeditiously proceed with all actions necessary to formally vacate
the alleyway behind the Lyric Theater, located at 819 Northwest 211a Avenue, Miami,
Horida, and to carry forth all actions necessary to transfer said property to the Black
Archives pursuant to said CRA intent.
The original resolution determined that one component of the project would necessitate
vacating and replatting a 10-foot alleyway located just east of the project. However, it
has been determined that the vacation of N.W. 1st Court is necessary to fully complete
the action requested by Resolution 03-1243 and would avoid remnant parcels.
FISCAL IMPACT: $80,000.00
