A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
ACQUISITION OF A WEB CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ("WCMS") FROM
REDDOT SOLUTIONS CORPORATION, UTILIZING AN EXISTING CONTRACT,
PURSUANT TO RFP-DCP-12-03 FROM DUTCHESS COUNTY, NEW YORK,
FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $90,000, FOR SOFTWARE AND FIRST YEAR
MAINTENANCE, TRAINING AND SERVICES, WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND
PRODUCT SUPPORT FOR FOUR ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS, WITH
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE COSTS CAPPED AT $10,500 FOR YEAR TWO WITH
OPTIONAL YEAR INCREASES LIMITED TO NO MORE THAN 5% PER YEAR;
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF A DEVELOPMENT
SOFTWARE LICENSE AND FIRST YEAR MAINTENANCE NOT INCLUDED IN
THE DUTCHESS COUNTY CONTRACT, AT AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$18,054, WITH THE OPTION TO EXTEND PRODUCT SUPPORT FOR FOUR
ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS, WITH SAID ANNUAL MAINTENANCE
COSTS CAPPED AT APPROXIMATELY $2,900 FOR YEAR TWO WITH
OPTIONAL YEAR INCREASES LIMITED TO NO MORE THAN 5% PER YEAR;
FORA TOTAL FIRST YEAR COST FOR ALL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES NOT
TO EXCEED $108,054, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ("CIP") ACCOUNT NO. 311616, ENTITLED
TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE, AND OTHER VARIOUS CIP ACCOUNTS
AND THE OPERATING BUDGETS OF VARIOUS USER DEPARTMENTS.
WHEREAS, RFP-DCP-12-03 was issued for Duchess County, New York for the acquisition of
a Web Content Management System ("WCMS"), and following an evaluation, a contract was
awarded to RedDot Solutions Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Chief Information Officer of the City of Miami ("City")
recommend that the City acquire a WCMS from RedDot Solutions Corporation as a piggyback
pursuant to the executed contract from RFP-DCP-12-03 for Duchess County, New York and it be
approved; and
WHEREAS, funds to cover said expenditures, at an estimated cost for software, first year of
maintenance, and training and services is in an amount not to exceed $90,000, with the option to
extend product support for four additional one-year periods, with yearly maintenance costs capped
at $10,500 for year two, with future year increases limited to no more than 5% per year; and for the
acquisition of a development software license and first year maintenance, not included on the
Dutchess County contract, at an amount not to exceed $18,054 with the option to extend product
support for four additional one-year periods, with yearly maintenance costs capped at
approximately $2,900 for year two, with future year increases limited to no more than 5% per year,

for a total first year cost of these products and services at $108,054, and
WHEREAS, funding is available from the Capital Improvement Project ("CIP") Account
Number 311616 Technology Infrastructure, other various CIP accounts, and the Operating
Budgets of various user departments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The acquisition of a WCMS, from RedDot Solutions Corporation, utilizing an existing
contract, pursuant to RFP-DCP-12-03 from Dutchess County, New York, for the Department of
Information Technology, is authorized, in an amount not to exceed $90,000, for software and first
year of maintenance, and training and services, with the option to extend product support for four
additional one-year periods, with yearly maintenance costs capped at $10,500 for year two, with
optional year increases limited to no more than 5% per year, with funds allocated from the CIP
Account No. 311616, entitled Technology Infrastructure, other various CIP Accounts and the
Operating Budgets of various user departments.
Section 3. The acquisition of a development software license and first year maintenance, not
included on the Dutchess County contract, at an amount not to exceed $18,054, is authorized,
with funds allocated from the CIP Account No. 311616-Technology Infrastructure, other various
CIP Accounts and the operating budgets of various user departments, with the option to extend
product support for four additional one-year periods, with yearly maintenance costs capped at
approximately $2,900 for year two, with optional year increases limited to no more than 5% per
year, for a total first year cost of both these products and services at an amount not to exceed
$108,054.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{1}
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
