HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-04-0158City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-04-0158 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 04-00192 Final Action Date: 3/11/2004 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE ROLLOVER OF 30TH YEAR PROGRAM FUNDS, COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2004, TO THE FUNDS FROM THE CLOSEOUT OF 28TH PROGRAM YEAR AGREEMENTS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $805,918, IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") PROGRAM FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,035,495, IN HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS FUNDS, PLUS AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $137,390, FROM PREVIOUS YEARS' ALLOCATIONS OF HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS FUNDS, AND AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $77,708, FROM THE EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING SAID FUNDS TO BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR ALLOCATION THROUGH THE 2004-2005 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS ("RFP") PROCESS. WHEREAS, the Department of Community Development has undertaken a close out process of completed activities; and WHEREAS, funds have been identified for these purposes from the closeout of 28th Year Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program agreements, as specified in the attachment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The rollover of funds to the 30th Program Year, commencing on October 1, 2004, from the closeout of 28th Program Year Agreements under the Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program, Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS ("HOPWA"), Home Investment Partnership ("HOME") and Emergency Shelter Grant ("ESG") programs summarized below and specified on the list, attached and incorporated, is authorized: Program Closeout Transfer to Program/Activity Available in 30th Amount Year RFP CDBG $ 805,918 CDBG Program $ 805,918 HOPWA $2,035,495 HOPWA/Long Term Housing Assistance $2,035,495 HOME $ 137,390 HOME/Homeownership $ 137,390 ESG $ 77,708 ESG/City Homeless Program $ 77,708 Section 3. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
