HomeMy WebLinkAboutcover memoCITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM rc The Honorable Mayor and Medbers of a City Comâ–º ion FROM Cr( 17ATE SL tiJECT FED 13 2004 Transfer of 28`h Year Closeout E Funds to 30th Year Allocations Jo; 'iota REFERENCES City Commission Agenda CitW anager March 11, 2004 ENCLOSURES: RECOMMENDATION: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution, with attachments, authorizing the rollover to the 30th Program Year, commencing on October 1, 2004, of funds from the closeout of 28th Program Year agreements in the amounts of $805,918 from the Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds and $2,035,495 in the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS ("HOPWA") funds, plus $137,390 from the previous years' allocations of Home Investment Partnerships ("HOME") funds and $77,708 from the Emergency Shelter Grant ("ESG") program; and authorizing said funds to be made available for allocation through the 2004-2005 Request for Proposals ("RFP") process. BACKGROUND: The Administration has identified the below listed close out amounts under each program. The Administration recommends that these amounts be made available through the 30''' Year RFP funding process: Program Closeout Amount Transfer To Program/Activity Available in '30th Year RFP CDBG $ 805,918 CDBG Program $ 805,918 HOPWA $ 2,035,495 HOPWA/Long Tern Housing Assistance $ 2,035,495 $ 137,390 HOME $ 137,390 HOME/Homeownership ESG $ 77,708_ ESG/City Homeless Program $ 77,708 It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution, with attachments, authorizing the rollover to the 30th Program Year, commencing on October 1, 2004, of funds from the closeout of 28th Program Year agreements in the amounts of $805,91.8 from the CDBG funds and $2,035,495 in the HOPWA funds, plus $137,390 from the previous years' allocations of HOME funds and $77,708 from the ESG program; and. authorizing said funds to be made available for allocation through the 2004-2005 RFP process.
