HomeMy WebLinkAboutcover memo• CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM coiq TO : FROM : Hon 4rs ble Mayo Me of the ity ommissio Joe ola Chie dministrator/City Manager DATE: SUBJECT: REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: FEB 2 3 2004 FILE : Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to execute a PSA with TELAdjust, Inc., pursuant to the School Board of Sarasota County RFP No. 2043 RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute the attached Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with TELAdust, Inc., a non local, non -minority vendor located at 29000 Inkster Road, Suite 115, Southfield MI, 48034, for the provision of Telecommunications Auditing Services, pursuant to the School Board of Sarasota County RFP No. 2043, effective through October 15, 2006. Funding, if required will be paid from refunds obtained as a result of the audit. BACKGROUND The Information Technology Department has seen a need to secure a contract for the provision of Telecommunications Auditing Services to perform the following scope of services: A. Firm shall review telecommunication bills for over billing of federal, state and local fees and services as well as general overcharges. B. Firm shall pursue recovery of all excess fees, services and overcharges. C. Firm shall be compensated based upon a percentage of recovery only. D. Recovery payments are limited to previously billed telephone utility services. E. Firm shall receive no compensation for savings/corrections of fees, services or overcharges errors not billed as of the date of the contract's execution. F. Firm shall use its best efforts and professional knowledge to determine all active telephone lines for which the City of Miami is billed. G. Firm shall be compensated for monetary refunds and/or credits actually issued to the City of Miami. H. Firm shall provide a comprehensive report to the City of Miami detailing by location its findings and recommendations.
