The process, which recognizes the importance of and the availability of alternate modes of transportation, needs to be improved in three fronts. This methodology will be updated to address the City's MUSP process. • Some of the standard values used in transit and roadway capacity thresholds, transit and auto occupancy data, current transit routes, for example need to be updated. • The process should be re-evaluated to recognize bicycle and pedestrian facilities that exist in many of these Transportation Corridors. • Guidelines should be developed identifying ways to encourage the use of alternate modes of transportation, and a quantifiable measure that can be used to recognize the promotion of alternate modes of transportation. 12.1 Stakeholders Meetings. In order to explain the process and to obtain business buy -in to the policies that are necessary to support the person trip methodology the team will present information at two meetings with business groups.
