Thompson References: February 12, 2004 Agenda City Clerk Enclosures: List of members The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board was created to review and recommend to the City Commission the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Department of Human Resources. Ten appointments are needed at this time for terms which expire on February 4, 2004: • Commissioner Angel Gonzalez has two nominations for seats currently held by: o Albena Sumner o Miriam Urra • Commissioner Johnny Winton has two nominations for seats currently held by: o Yvonne McDonald o Patrick Range, Jr. • Commissioner Tomas Regalado has two nominations for seats currently held by: o John Jones o Anthony Cantey • Vice Chairman Joe Sanchez has two nominations for seats currently held by: o Raul Dominguez o Sam Mason o Chairman Teele has two nominations for seats currently held by: o Charles J. Flowers o Charles Cutler There are an additional four seats composed of representatives of the four employee bargaining units. As soon as we receive nominations from each union, we will schedule Commission confirmation of those seats. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the February 12, 2004 Commission agenda.
