RECOIENDATI ON :
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached
Resolution accepting the bid of "Gancedo Technologies, Inc.", for "Coral Way
Beautification Uplighting Phase I", B-6450-A, received on September 30, 2003 in
the amount of $673,031.00 Total Bid. "Gancedo Technologies, Inc.", is a company
located within Miami --Dade County at 601 S.W. 57 th. Ave., Miami, Florida,
33144, whose Principal is Mr. Carlos Gancedo, President. Also, authorizing the
City Manager to enter into contract on behalf of the City.

Discussion: The Department of Capital Improvements has evaluated the bids
received on September 30, 2003, and determined that the lowest responsible
and responsive bid, in the amount of $673,031.00 is from Gancedo
Technologies, Inc., Funds are available to cover the contract cost, and for
such incidental items as postage, blueprinting, advertising, reproduction
costs, testing, etc.
FISCAL IMPACT: NONE - BUDGETED ITEM
