HomeMy WebLinkAboutexhibit 3- scope of servicesEXHIBIT 'A' SCOPE OF WORK 1. • DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT The City of Miami has identified the need for the improvements to SW 16th Terrace from SW 29`h Avenue to SW 32'd Avenue (+I- 2100 Feet). The improvements include: • Roadway Reconstruction full R/W limits. • New Storm Drainage system. • New sidewalk. • New Pavement Markings. 2. SCOPE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY EDWARDS AND KELCEY 2.1 Plan preparation: • Paving reconstruction and drainage plans. • Signing & Pavement Marking Plans. • Drainage Calculations. • Typical Sections and Details. 2.2 Attended ten meetings with Owner, DERM, the City of Miami Building Department or other agencies as directed by the client. 2.3 Prepare specifications package in accordance with the standard CSI format, and the Bid documentation according with The City of Miami standards. 2.4 Prepare a Statement of Probable Construction Cost for the preliminary phase and after final design is completed. 2.5 Provide responses and revisions to drawings per permitting agencies comments. 2.6 Bidding and Construction Phase Services. The construction administration is base on a 4-month construction period. The work scope is limited to: • Attend a pre -bid meeting. • Attend a pre -construction meeting. • Provide Plans interpretation and clarifications. • Respond to contractor's Request For Information (RFI). • Review Shop Drawings. • Attend 12 construction Meetings. • Perform site visit and observation twice per month during construction period (to be coordinated with on -site construction meetings). • Provide final certification of work observed by Edwards and Kelcey per permit agency requirements. 3. SURVEY AND GEOLOGICAL SERVICES: 3.1 Edwards and Kelcey will retain a sub consultant for the geological services. Testing will be limited to Standard Penetration Test (SPT) soil borings, Soil Classification, Boring Logs, Percolation Test, and Geological reports. 3.2 Edwards and Kelcey will retain a surveyor for the field Iocation of existing improvements, ground elevations, and utility location. 4. ITMES NOT INCLUDED 4.1 All permits and permit fees. 4.2 Landscaping and Irrigation design. 4.3 Street Lighting design. 5. DELIVERABLES 5.1 Edwards and Kelcey will prepare the drawings outlined above in Section 2, and provide drainage calculations for submission by the City to the drainage permitting agencies. Deliverables will be provided as follows: Survey: Two (2) signed and sealed copies of Survey and one (1) electronic copy of Survey in AutoCAD 2002. Geotechnical: One (1) signed and sealed copy of the Geological Report. Design and Specifications 30°ro Submittal a. Two (2) sets of 30% Completion Drawings. b. ADDITIONAL SERVICES Additional services not specifically described under Scope of Work will be performed by Edwards and Kelcey upon approval by the City.
