RIVIERA BEACH Man, 28, missing off island RIVIERA BEACH — (AP) - A 28-year-old man was missing Sunday, a day after he vanished in choppy surf dur- ing a swim off Singer Island, the U.S. Coast Guard said. The Coast Guard sus- pended its search for William Daqdzie, of West Palm Beach, late Saturday night, Petty Offi- cer Anastasia Burns said. If it is determined that he died, Daqdzie would be the third drowning victim in Palm Beach County during a week of gusts and rip currents. Last week, rip currents claimed the lives of an 82- year-old woman near Singer Island and a 48-year-old attor- ney trying to save his nieces off Palm Beach. The girls sur- vived.
