The goal of this summary is to provide the Commission with detailed information to
enhance your review and approval process.

CRIME PREVENTION BOOKLETS
JUSTIFICATION:
The material contain in this booklets is essential to the Police Department's community policing
efforts. The booklets cover a wide selection of anti -crime and anti -drug topics. They are filled
with useful tips on preventing crime and substance abuse.
HOW IS THIS ITEM GOING TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF SERVICE TO THE
CUSTOMER / CITIZENS?
The police Department will distribute the booklets to various sites throughout the community
(i.e., schools, day care centers, civic groups, senior centers, etc.), and during station tours, as well
as, make them available to all NET areas.
