REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: Five (5) Documents RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City Manager's engagement of Marlin Engineering. Inc., selected from the list of pre -approved general engineering firms approved by Resolution No. 02-144, for professional services not to exceed $97,409 related to SW 69 Avenue Road Reconstruction Project, B-4697. BACKGROUND The Department of Capital Improvements has analyzed the need to execute a Work Order Authorization with a general engineering consulting firm for SW 69 Avenue Road Reconstruction Project, B-4697. The project proposes the design and construction of storm sewer improvements, roadway and sidewalk reconstruction and new swale regrade and road section along SW 69 Avenue between W. Flagler Street and SW 8 Street as detailed on the attached Work Order Authorization. The scope of engineering services consists in design development, preparation of bidding and construction documents and construction administration services for the project entitled "SW 16 Terrace Road Reconstruction Project, B-4697". Marlin Engineering, Inc., was selected from the Department of Capital Improvements list of pre -approved consultants. Negotiation for the cost of professional services is necessary to ensure the City receives an equitable proposal. The Work Order Authorization will be additionally subject to all terms and conditions of its exhibits and the Professional Services Agreement between the City and Marlin Engineering, Inc. Funds have been identified from CIP Account No. 341183 entitled "Citywide Street Improvements".
