A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
DEOBLIGATION OF 29TH YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
("CDBG") PROGRAM FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $276,500 FROM THE LOT
CLEARING PROGRAM AND $790,000 FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD
ENHANCEMENT TEAM CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM FOR ATOTAL OF
$1,066,500; AND REALLOCATING OF SAID FUNDS TO THE BUDGET OF THE
DEPARTMENT OF CAPITAL IMPOVEMENTS PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 03-281, adopted March 27, 2003, directed the allocation of 29th
Year Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program funds to support municipal
services and related activities for the 29th Program Year beginning October 1, 2003 and ending
September 30, 2004, including funds in the amount of $276,500, to the Lot Clearing and $790,000
to the Neighborhood Enhancement Team Code Enforcement Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The deobligation of 29th Year CDGB Program funds, in the amount of $276,500
from the Lot Clearing and $790,000 from the Neighborhood Enhancement Team Code
Enforcement Program, for a total amount of $1,066,500, and the reallocation of said funds to the
Budget of the Department of Capital Improvements Projects, is authorized.{1}
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter ad Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
