A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
ACQUISITION OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FROM PRINTRAK
INTERNATIONAL, INC. (A WHOLLY OWNED SUBSIDIARY OF MOTOROLA,
INC.), TO PROVIDE SOFTWARE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF A 311 CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUEST SYSTEM,
UTILIZING EXISTING MIAMI-DADE COUNTY ("COUNTY") CONTRACT/RFP NO.
317, EFFECTIVE THROUGH DECEMBER 26, 2004, SUBJECT TO ANY
EXTENSIONS OR REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS BY THE COUNTY, ATA
PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $258,200, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE
FEDERAL COMMUNITY POLICING SERVICES PROGRAM GRANT, ACCOUNT
CODE NO. 142029.290521.6.840, FOR SAID ACQUISITION; AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID
PURPOSE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The acquisition of professional services from Printrak International, Inc. (a wholly
owned subsidiary of Motorola, Inc.) to provide software and technical support for the
implementation of a 311 Customer Service Request System to provide citizens with a simplified
way to access Miami -Dade County ("County") and City of Miami services and information, utilizing
existing Miami -Dade County Contract/RFP No. 317, effective through December 26, 2004, subject
to any extensions or replacement contracts by the County, at a proposed amount of $258,200, is
authorized, with funds allocated from the Federal Community Policing Services Program Grant,
Account Code No. 142029.290521.6.840 for said acquisition.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute any necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

{1}The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2}If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of 10 calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
