') Department of E4tevelopment The Watson Island Boat Ramp Parking Lot project is nearing completion. Gancedo Technologies, Inc., the electrical contractor, has submitted notification of change order letters for unforeseen additional work. The requests have been verified by City staff and are as follows: 1. Transportation costs of moving concrete light poles from storage site at a cost of $850.00. 2. FPL Primary Feeder — installation of primary conduits from FPL manhole to main entrance service at a cost of $2,100.00. 3. Replacement of one damaged light pole at a cost of $1,600.00 which was damaged by an unknown trespasser. 4. Cost to unload new light pole with crane and to auger new hole at a cost of $700.00. Gancedo Technologies, Inc. is under contract in the amount of $68,972.00. This original contract did not include a customary ten percent contingency line item for unforeseeable conditions such as the ones previously described. At this time, we are requesting your approval of an emergency to increase the existing Purchase Order number 231785 in the amount not to exceed $10,000.00 (ten thousand dollars) as a cash allowance item for this contract. Funds are available from Project No. 333126 669301.6.860 for the $10,000.00 cash allowance item. It should be noted that this project was funded 50% by the Florida Inland Navigation District which the City has received its reimbursement. The approval will be followed by a ratification item for the City Commission meeting on October 9, 2003. If you have any questions, please call Enrique Nunez, Project Manager at extension 1419.
