Please make arrangements to publish the attached Notice of Public Hearing regarding the
ratification, approval, and confirmation of the City Manager's Findings to waive competitive
bidding procedures, approving a final change order to NAC Construction, Inc., for additional
services performed due to owner requested changes, design errors and omissions, and
additional regulatory requirements for the Fire Station No. 11 Improvements Project, B-60452.
Approval has also been requested for additional owner contingency for resolution of outstanding
issues.
A 14 day notice is sufficient and we would like the ite to be heard on September 23, 2010.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
regarding
RATIFICATION, APPROVAL, AND CONFIRMATION OF CITY MANAGER'S
FINDINGS FOR WAIVER OF BIDDING PROCEDURES TO APPROVE THE
FINAL CHANGE ORDER FOR ADDITIONAL WORK FOR THE FIRE
STATION NO. 11 IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, B-60452.

The Miami City Commission will hold a Public Hearing on September 23, 2010 beginning at 9:00 a.m. to
consider whether it is in the public's best interest that the City Commission ratify, approve and confirm
the Findings of the City Manager justifying the waiver of competitive bids to approve payment in the not
to exceed amount of $4,796.64, for a final change order to NAC Construction, Inc. for additional work
performed due to owner requested changes, design errors and omissions, additional regulatory
requirements, and additional owner contingency in the not to exceed amount of $75,000, for resolution of
outstanding issues for the Fire Station No. 11 Improvements Project, B-60452.
The Public Hearing will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled City Commission meeting of
September 23, 2010 at:
MIAMI CITY HALL
3500 Pan American Drive
Miami, Florida
All interested persons may appear at the meeting and may be heard with respect to the proposed issue.
Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter to be
considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made
including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special accommodations
to participate in this proceeding may contact the Office of the City Clerk at (305) 250-5360 (Voice) no
