Subject: Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 210224 Bunker Gear Inspection, Cleaning, and Repairs
Purpose of Item:
The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for the provision of Bunker Gear Inspection,
Cleaning, and Repairs for the Department of Fire -Rescue, with Broadway Minerva Cleaners, LLC,
d/b/a Minerva Bunker Gear Cleaners, for an initial contractual period of one (1) year with options to
renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods, allocating funds from the various sources of funds
of the user departments, subject to availability of funds and budgetary approval at time of need.
Background Information:
The Purchasing Department has identified a need to establish a term contract for Bunker Gear
Inspection, Cleaning, and Repairs. On June 9, 2010, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation for
Bid No. 210224. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on line.
On June 30, 2010, at the bid opening, four (4) bidders, responded, and the bids have been tabulated.
Broadway Minerva Cleaners, LLC, d/b/a Minerva Bunker Gear Cleaners, submitted the lowest
responsive and responsible bid per specifications and is therefore recommended for the award. The
total estimated annual amount is $22,000.00.
