AUTHORIZING THE AMENDED ALLOCATION OF HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP
PROGRAM ("HOME") FUNDS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,974,286, FOR HOUSING PROGRAMS,
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011, IN THE CATEGORIES AS SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A",
ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY AMENDED DOCUMENTS
FOR SAID PURPOSE(S).

Background Information:
Pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0257, adopted June 21, 2010, the Miami City Commission approved
the allocation of HOME funds in the amount of $4,974,286 for housing programs for fiscal year 2010-
2011.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0307, adopted July 8, 2010, the Miami City Commission approved the
change in the start of City of Miami Department of Community Development's ("CD") fiscal year
effective April 1, 2011.
CD had previously allocated HOME funds, in the categories, specified in Attachment "A", attached
and incorporated, based on 12 months allocation and due to said change, Resolution No. 10-0257
has been amended to reflect new allocations based on 6 months in order to align with the new fiscal
year.
The Administration recommends the amended allocation of HOME funds, in the amount of
$4,974,286, for fiscal year 2010-2011; in the categories as specified in Attachment "A", attached and
incorporated, to align with the new fiscal year, for the provision of decent and affordable housing to
low income households.
