Purpose of Item: Resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with Miami -Dade County Transit (County) for the Miami River Greenway SW ls` Court Project, B-30130 (Project). This agreement grants and conveys to the City of Miami (City) a non-exclusive permit to enter and remain on the County's property for the purpose of performing the scope of work and provides that the County will maintain the project. Background Information: The City and the County wish to provide a bicycle/pedestrian path and sidewalk enhancements located within the municipal limits of the City. The scope of the project consists of upgrading the existing 8 -foot asphalt sidewalk to a 10 - foot decorative concrete path beginning from the corner of SW I" Court and SW 7th Street, matching the existing sidewalk and continuing along the Metrorail/Metromover corridor. The Project also encompasses the addition of a new 5 - foot sidewalk on the east side of SW I" Court. The City will be responsible for the design, construction, management and administration of the Project, which is partially funded by a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The attached Interlocal Agreement provides that the County agrees to maintain the Project, and will provide the City access for the completion of the scope of work subject to the conditions of the Interlocal.
