Director City Manager Page 1 of 1 AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED Background Information: The Department of Community Development currently manages certain City of Miami ("City") properties that have outstanding property taxes and liens from prior years. Federal funds cannot be used to pay such back taxes and liens or pay for maintenance of such properties that are not purchased using federal funds. The department is currently developing some of the properties but unable to finalize some folio separations because of the outstanding property taxes. The Administration recommends the allocation of City of Miami Department of Community Development AHTF in the amount of $100,000 for payment of outstanding property taxes, liens and maintenance for City owned properties that will be used for the construction of affordable housing.
