Director City Manager 4 AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED Background Information: On March 3, 2010 a request for proposals ("RFP") , with a due date of April 5, 2010, was issued soliciting proposals from agencies to implement public service activities that may be funded with CDBG funds. Said RFP was issued for a one year period with the option to extend such contract for an additional year, contingent on the availability of funds, and that the agency had met their contractual obligations. A total of 46 responses with the total requested amount of $3,436,214, were received from agencies and reviewed by the City of Miami Department of Community Development. Out of said responses, a total of 21 agencies were selected for the recommendation of 36th program year, 2010-2011, CDBG funds in the public service category, for a total funding recommendation of $1,342,634. The Administration recommends the allocation of 36th Program Year CDBG funds, in the amount of $1,342,634, in the public service category, to the agencies specified in "Attachment A," attached and incorporated, for Public Service activities beginning October 1, 2010.
