Purpose of Item: To authorize the City Manager to exercise the City's first one year option to renew the Professional Services Agreement with Post Bueldey Schuh & Jernigan, Inc., inclusive of the one month approval granted by the City Commission on May 13, 2010, for the provision of Capital Program Support Services for the multi-year Capital Improvements Plan. Background Information: On May 6, 2008, pursuant to Resolution No. 08-0199, the City executed a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Post Buckley Schuh & Jernigan, Inc. (PBS&J), for the provision of Capital Program Support Services, for a two (2) year period with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods. Extension of this contract is essential for continuity of ongoing services to support CIP projects underway. Services are provided strictly on an as needed basis as approved by the CIP director. Assignments are funded by project specific funds. PBS&J has agreed to forgo their 3% escalation as part of the contract renewal and they have further agreed to roll back their hourly rates to the rates approved for the I't year of the contract. This will result in a 6% reduction in PBS&J's hourly rates. Pursuant to Article 2.02 of the agreement, the contract will be extended for an additional one year services, inclusive of the one month approval granted by the City Commission on May 13, 2010.
