Thompson City Clerk References: May 13, 2010 Agenda Enclosures: List of members The Code Enforcement Board was created to issue orders having the force of law commanding whatever steps are necessary to bring a Code violation into compliance. Florida Statutes Section 162.05(2) requires members of the Code Enforcement Board to be residents of the City of Miami. City Code Section 2-812 states that whenever possible, the board is to consist of an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor, and a realtor. Three (3) appointments are needed at this time: • Chairman Marc Sarnoff has one (1) nomination: 1. Vacancy, since February 25, 2010 (seat formerly held by Harry Gottlieb). • Vice Chairman Frank Carollo has one (1) nomination: 1. Michael Wallman, incumbent, whose term expires on March 7, 2010. • Commissioner Richard Dunn II has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. Vacancy, since July 16, 2009 (seat formerly held by Leroy Jones). For your convenience, we have included a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the May 13, 2010 Commission agenda.
