A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING A CHANGE
ORDER TO BID CONTRACT NO. 191150, AWARDED TO TIP TOP ENTERPRISES,
INC., FOR TREE AND PALM RELOCATIONS, FOR ADDITIONAL CITY OF MIAMI
REQUESTED SERVICES, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $96,800, THEREBY
INCREASING THE TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT FROM $128,640 TO AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $225,440; ALLOCATING FUNDS FOR SAID INCREASE, FROM
TREE TRUST FUND ACCOUNT NUMBER 11500.152000.663000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, on January 14, 2010, the Miami City Commission adopted Resolution No. 10-0009,
accepting the bid received November 24, 2009, pursuant to Invitation for Bids No. 191150, from Tip
Top Enterprises, Inc., for Tree and Palm Relocations, from the Marlins Stadium Site to Various
Municipal Parks, for a short-term period, for the Department of Parks and Recreation, for a total
contract amount not to exceed $128,640; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0009, the City Manager has produced and
collaborated with District 3 Commissioner, Frank Carollo, a tree relocation plan, which has been
subsequently approved by Commissioner Frank Carollo; and
WHEREAS, the tree relocation plan approval requires additional City of Miami ("City") requested
services to be performed by the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Tip Top Enterprises, Inc.,
and
WHEREAS, the additional City requested services were not part of the original scope of work and
will result in an increase to the contract in an amount not to exceed $96,800, thereby increasing the
total contract amount from $128,640 to an amount not to exceed $225,440;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA;
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. A change order to Bid Contract No. 191150, awarded to Tip Top Enterprises, Inc., for
Tree and Palm Relocations, for additional City requested services for the Department of Parks and
Recreation, in an amount not to exceed $96,800, thereby increasing the total contract amount from
$128,640 to an amount not to exceed $225,440, is authorized, with funds allocated for said increase
from Tree Trust Fund Account Number 11500.152000.663000.0000.00000.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1 }

{1 } This Resolution shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the effective date
stated herein, whichever is later.
