Purpose of Item:
A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Maintenance Agreement with the Florida
Department of Transportation for the maintenance of State Road 5/US-1 from SR 9A/1-95 to South
Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida.
Background Information:
The Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") has jurisdiction over State Road 5/US-1 from
SR 9A/1-95 to South Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida. FDOT has drafted design plans for
beautification improvements on this roadway and the City has agreed to maintain these
improvements. Maintenance will be performed in-house by Public Works personnel, therefore the
City will not incur any additional costs at this time.
