Purpose of Item:
A Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Joint Participation Agreement and a
Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement for the installation of a drainage pump station serving the
intersection of S.R. 5/13rickell Avenue at Coral Way (SE 13th Street), Miami, Florida.
Background Information:
The Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") has aViced to install a drainage pump station at
the intersection of Brickell Avenue at Coral Way (SE 13' Street) in order to improve drainage on
Brickell Avenue from SE 25th Street to SE 5th Street. The City has agreed to maintain the storm water
pump station. Assumption of the Maintenance Agreement is currently estimated at an annual cost of
$30,000 to the City. FDOT has agreed to reimburse the City for 50% of the annual maintenance cost.
There will be no fiscal impact to the City until project completion, approximately 2012.
