Subsequently on September 22, 1998, the City entered into the Agreement with the VILLAGE for a period of five (5) years commencing on October 1, 1998 and terminating on September 30, 2003. Pursuant to Resolution No. 03-1053, adopted on September 25, 2003, the City of Miami entered into a First Amendment Agreement dated September 25, 2003 with the VILLAGE to extend the contract on a month-to-month basis, not to exceed six (6) months, from October 1, 2003 through March 31, 2004, to provide Automatic Aid and Ancillary Fire Services to the VILLAGE. The extension Agreement was necessary to continue to bring in revenue to the City of Miami, in the amount of $229,998 while the Department of Fire -Rescue negotiated a new contract. Pursuant to Resolution No. 04-132, adopted March 1, 2004, the City of Miami entered into an Agreement with the VILLAGE to provide Automatic Aid and Ancillary Fire Services to the VILLAGE for a period of five (5) years commencing on April 1, 2004 through March 31, 2009. This contract will continue to bring in revenue for the City of Miami, in the amount of $479,160 yearly, which is $19,164 more per year than in the previous contract.
