A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 06-0125, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 23, 2006,
RELATING TO THE CONVEYANCE TO PALMETTO HOMES OF MIAMI, INC.,
WITH PARCEL REVERTER PROVISIONS, OF THE CITY OF MIAMI OWNED
PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED AT 1620-1624 NORTHWEST 58TH STREET,
MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS LEGALLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR
LOW TO MODERATE INCOME PERSON; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO CONVEY, WITH PARCEL REVERTER PROVISIONS, SAID PARCELS OF
LAND TO CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF PARKING LOTS; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 01-1043, adopted September 25, 2001, the Miami City
Commission authorized the City Manager to acquire the properties located at 1620-1624 Northwest
58th Street, Miami, Florida (collectively "the Property"); and
WHEREAS, on April 3, 2002, a Warranty Deed was executed between the City of Miami ("City")
and the seller, M. Athalie Range; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 05-0357 adopted May 26, 2005, the Miami City
Commission authorized the conveyance of the Property to the City of Miami Department of Off -Street
Parking for the construction of parking lots; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 06-0125, adopted February 23, 2006, the Miami City
Commission authorized the acceptance of the Property from the City of Miami Department of
Off -Street Parking and conveyance to Palmetto Homes of Miami Inc. for the development of affordable
housing; and
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends rescinding Resolution No. 06-0125, adopted February
23, 2006, relating to the conveyance to Palmetto Homes of Miami, Inc., with parcel reverter provisions,
of the City -owned parcels of land located at 1620-1624 Northwest 58th Street, Miami, Florida, as
legally described in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated, for the development of affordable housing
for low to moderate income persons; and
WHEREAS, this Resolution authorizes the City Manager to convey, with parcel reverter provisions,
said parcels of land to the City of Miami Department of Off -Street Parking for the construction of
parking lots;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Resolution No. 06-0125, adopted February 23, 2006, relating to the conveyance to
Palmetto Homes of Miami, Inc., with parcel reverter provisions, of the City owned parcels of land
located at 1620-1624 Northwest 58th Street, Miami, Florida, as legally described in Exhibit "A",
attached and incorporated, for the development of affordable housing for low to moderate income
persons; is rescinded.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized(l) to convey, with parcel reverter provisions, said
parcels of land to the City of Miami Department of Off -Street Parking for the construction of parking
lots.
Section 4, The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute all necessary document(s) for said
purpose.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
