Subject: A Resolution restricting vehicular and pedestrian access to a portion of an alley between
Northeast 34th Street and Northeast 35th Street east of Biscayne Boulevard.

A Resolution of the Miami City Commission authorizing and permitting the restriction of vehicular
and pedestrian access to a portion of an "L" shaped public alley located between Northeast 34th Street
and Northeast 35th Street from approximately 450 feet east of Biscayne Boulevard to its intersection
with Northeast 35th Street.
Background Information:
Property owners abutting the alley have expressed concern about the unsafe condition, undesirable
activities and illegal dumping occurring in the alley and have requested the City to restrict access to a
portion of the "L" shaped alley. The attached Resolution has been prepared in accordance with the
regulations contained in the City of Miami Code Section 54-16(h) and will authorize the installation
of a fence and gate to prohibit access to the alley. The Police, Fire -Rescue and Solid Waste
Departments have been notified of this request and public hearing.
