WHITE Re: Public Hearing Application Miami Dade College Inter -American Campus, City of Miami, FL Dear Ms. Fernandez: Our firm represents The District Board of Trustees of Miami Dade Community College (the "College") in connection with the captioned matter. The College is the owner of the properties legally described in the attached Exhibit "A" (the "Property"). The Property is 1,43 acres in size and is currently designated Single Family and Duplex Residential in the Miami Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan (the "Plan") and is zoned R-1 and R-2. The College wishes to amend the Plan designation for the Property to Major Institutional, Public Facilities, Transportation and ,Utilities and rezone the Property to G/I Goverrunent/Institutional (the "Zoning District"). The College intends to construct a new parking garage structure which will serve the needs of the students and faculty who utilize the Inter -American Campus facility (the "Intended Use"). The Intended Use is consistent with the Plan. This parking facility will accommodate the parking needs of the College as it continues to lead the country as the largest and most diverse college in the nation.
