A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-82(A), OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, CLASSIFYING TWELVE (12), 2003 FORD CROWN
VICTORIA POLICE INTERCEPTORS, AS DESCRIBED IN "ATTACHMENT A",
ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, AS CATEGORY "A" SURPLUS STOCK;
SELLING SAID VEHICLES TO THE CITY OF SWEETWATER, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$500 EACH, WITH CONDITIONS THAT THE VEHICLES ARE NOT TO BE SOLD BY
THE CITY OF SWEETWATER WITHIN SIX (6) YEARS FROM THE DATE OF THE
ADOPTION OF THIS RESOLUTION, AND UPON THE EXECUTION OF THE
APPROPRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Department of General Services Administration decommissioned twelve (12)
Crown Victoria Interceptors, as described in "Attachment A", attached and incorporated; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Procurement Officer has declared the vehicles as surplus; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18-82(a) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended
("City Code"), a surplus declared as Category "A" stock shall be available for disposition as the City of
Miami's ("City's") contribution or the City's commitment in support of a particular public purpose, which
may include community, civic or social service programs as may be authorized by the City
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sweetwater is a neighboring city in Miami -Dade County, Florida, serving
their residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sweetwater has its own Police Department, but is in need of vehicles to
carry out law enforcement services; and
WHEREAS, the City by selling said vehicles in the amount of $500 each, will assist in crime
prevention not only in the City of Sweetwater, but will assist in suppressing criminal elements in
Miami -Dade County in general, which includes the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission further stipulates that the vehicles be sold in the amount of
$500 each, with the condition that the City of Sweetwater cannot sell the vehicles within six years
from the date of the adoption of this Resolution;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 18-82(a) of the City Code, twelve (12) 2003 Ford Crown Victoria
Police Interceptors, as described in "Attachment A", attached and incorporated, are classified as
Category "A" surplus stock.
Section 3. The twelve (12) 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors, are sold to the City of
Sweetwater, in the amount of $500 each, with conditions that the vehicles are not to be sold by the
City of Sweetwater within six (6) years from the date of the adoption of this Resolution, and upon the
execution of the appropriate release documents.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1 }
Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
