Hvdrocarbon or Chemical Spills - Citywide Purpose of Item: The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for the procurement of Decontamination, Disinfection and Disposal of Bio -Hazardous Waste, Hydrocarbon or Chemical Spills, with Bioresponse, Corp. and International Protective Services, Inc., for an initial contractual period of two (2) years with options for renewal for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, on a citywide, as needed, when needed contractual basis, under IFB 92062. Allocating funds from the various sources of funds from the user departments and agencies, authorizing said services as needed, subject to availability of funds and budi;etary approval at the time of need. Information: The City of Miami has a need to procure Decontamination, Disinfection and Disposal of Bio - Hazardous Waste, Hydrocarbon or Chemical Spills, citywide. On November 16, 2009, the Purchasing Department issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB No. 92062). As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued online. On December 11, 2009, at the bid opening, two (2) bids were submitted and are tabulated. The Purchasing Department is recommending award to Bioresponse, Corp. and International Protective Services, Inc., the two (2) responsive and responsible bidders per bid specifications.
