Invitation For Bid (IFB) for Decontamination, Disinfection & Disposal of Bio -Hazardous
Waste & Spills
TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following changes, additions, clarifications, and deletions amend the Bid Documents of the above captioned IFB,
and shall become an integral part of the Contract Documents. Please note the contents herein and reflect same on
the documents you have on hand.
Q1. What specific types and size of chemical spills are included in this contract? For example: Spilled Tanker
(1,000's of gallons in the street) or spilled fuel in the bay from a cruise ship in the Port of Miami.
Al. This contract primarily concentrates on smaller types and sizes of either Bio -Hazardous Waste or Chemical
Spills, but in cases when the City is faced with larger types of and sizes of such spills as cited in your example, than
those incidents would be reflected in your pricing under Group 3.
Q2. Will award be given out to an individual group or as a whole, one lowest bidder for all? If one bidder then how
is groups weighted? For example: One bidder lower in group 1 but higher in group 2?
A2. The City is further clarifying the Method of Award in this Invitation For Bid, as stipulated in Section 2.6:
Award of this contract will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder(s) whose bid(s)
offer(s) the lowest prices by group. Bidder(s) must bid on a group and provide a response to Section
a., b., or c. to include which services bid prices should be applied to, as applicable, within a group or
be considered non-responsive for that group.
Therefore, we may award to multiple Successful Bidders.

Q3. Does the fire and water damage include light demolition work and disposal? Including roll off containers. or
other non -hazardous disposal? Are we responsible for remediation/rebuilding of damaged structure?
A3. This bid does not require light demolition work and disposal; and, remediation/rebuilding of damaged
structures.
Q4. Is there an estimated yearly contract expenditure/budget?
A4. No specific amount has been established as this is on an "as -needed" basis only.
Also, we have further extended the bid opening to Friday, December 11, 2009 at 1:00 PM.
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE 1FB REMAIN THE SAME.

Date/Time has been extended until to Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM.
The Deadline for Request For Clarification has also been extended until Monday, November 30, 2009 at 3:00 PM
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.
