Pursuant to our phone conversation of some minutes ago, this is to confirm that upon confirmation from our superiors
at UCP, Hope Center acknowledges that based on your confirmation that Hope center will not be required to pay its
consumers at the living wage rate of 11.21/hr, it will be able to continue servicing the City of Miami City Hall site at the
revised amount of $4,679.61 per month (equivalent to the bid given by Vista). For your review, we have attached our
Cost Estimate for the City Hall Job reflecting this.
We wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your assistance in resolving this issue with a positive outcome so as to
achieve the main goal of Hope Center, providing handicapped personnel with meaningful employment.

Mr. Marcos:
As an update to this email and our phone conversation of Friday (Oct 2, 2009), 1 reported the information given by you
to my superiors and have been instructed to advise the City of Miami that Hope Center would not be able continue with
the servicing of City Hall at the Vista Bid monthly amount of $4,679.61. Based on our current costs, we could service City
Hall at a monthly rate of $5,700.00 per month.
Please note that Hope Center's major problem with the City of Miami's new Bid Requirements is that under the Living
Wage Requirement, Hope Center is being required to pay their handicapped personnel at the equivalent rate that the
normal janitors make. As you know Hope Center's principal objective is to provide handicapped personnel with
meaningful employment which was the primary objective of our Janitorial Services.
