NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on January 28,
2010 at 9:00 a.m., in the City Commission Chambers, located at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan
American Drive, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of waiving the requirements of obtaining sealed
bids for the acquisition of the Geographic Information (GIS) based software licenses, training,
professional and online services, maintenance and product support, for a period of five (5)
years, which include, but are not limited to, ArcView, ArcEditor, Arcinfo, ArcGIS Server
(Advanced, Standard and Basic), ArcGIS Desktop and Server Extensions (Spatial Analyst, 3D
Analyst, Network Analyst, Schematics, Survey analyst, Tracking Analyst, Data Reviewer, Data
Interoperability, Geostatistical, Publisher and StreetMap), ArcIMS, and NetEngine, GIS Portal
Toolkit, Map Production System Atlas, Maplex 3.x, MapStudio, Military Overlay Editor,
NetEngine, Production Line Toolset for ArcGIS, including PLTS Foundation and PLTS Solutions
and certain proprietary training courses from Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc.
(ESRI), for the Department of Information Technology, first year at a cost not to exceed
$87,000, with future years funding subject to the availability of funds from the Information
Technology Department's operating budget and Strategic Revenues, other various Capital
Improvement Project accounts, grants, and the operating budgets of various user departments.
Inquiries from other potential vendors of such maintenance services who feel that they might be
able to satisfy the City's requirements for this item may contact Lourdes Rodriguez, Assistant

All interested individuals are invited to attend this hearing and may comment on the proposed
issue. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to
any matter considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be
based (F.S. 286.0105).
