Furpose of item: lm ending the City of Miami Code thereby providing for holiday pay in conjunction with furloughave/days. Background Information: As part of the Fiscal Year 2010 budget reductions, the City Manager implemented furlough leave/days to effectuate salary savings from City of Miami AFSCME, unclassified and managerial/confidential employees. Under current Code provisions, employees in unpaid status on any day immediately preceding or following a holiday are precluded from receiving holiday pay.
