Final Action Date:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), TO
ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THE CONTRACT TERMS OF THE EXECUTED
PRACTICE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT"),
ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, BETWEEN PST SERVICES, INC. D/B/A
PER -SE TECHNOLOGIES, AND THE CITY OF MIAMI, FOR THE ACQUISITION
OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORT BILLING AND COLLECTIONS
SERVICES, AS THE GOVERNING TERMS, RENEWALS AND SET FEES OF THE
AGREEMENT; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF FIRE
RESCUE OPERATING BUDGET, SUBJECT TO BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT
THE TIME OF NEED.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 05-0451, adopted July 28, 2005, contained terms as to the duration or
length of the Agreement, renewals, and set fees that are in conflict with the terms of the executed
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, notwithstanding any contrary language in Resolution No. 05-0451, it is the intention of
the parties to follow the terms of the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the attached Agreement with an effective date of September 20, 2005, and the
renewals provided therein, will govern and supersede the terms of the Agreement set forth in
Resolution No. 05-0451; and
WHEREAS, funds are allocated from the Department of Fire Rescue Operating Budget, subject to
budgetary approval at the time of need;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Miami City Commission acknowledges and accepts the contract terms of the
executed Practice Management Services Agreement ("Agreement"), attached and incorporated,
between PST Services, Inc. d/b/a Per -Se Technologies, and the City of Miami, for the acquisition of
emergency medical transport billing and collections services, as the governing terms, renewals and
set fees of the Agreement, with funds allocated from the Department of Fire Rescue Operating
Budget, subject to budgetary approval at the time of need.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
