Subject: Resolution authorizingthe City Manager to execute an agreement with Miami Dade County
Water and Sewer Department ("WASD") for the Orange Bowl Field at Moore Park Project B-30625.
Purpose of Item:
To request approval of the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an agreement
for Water & Sanitary Sewage Facilities with WASD for the Orange Bowl Field at Moore Park
Project, B-30625.
Background Information:
The City of Miami (City) intends to demolish a 322 seat stadium previously connected to the Miami -
Dade County's water and sewer systems, representing an average daily gallonage credit of 966
gallons. The City intends to construct and connect a 1,500 seat stadium representing an average daily
gallonage of 4,500 gallons. WASD calculates the estimated capacity needed for the project and a
connection charge based on the agreed average total daily gallonage of 3,534 gallons. The combined
water and sewer connection charge is $24,702.66, due to WASD after construction is completed and a
water meter is installed. Funds are available from the CIP project account, B-30625.
