Subject: A resolution accepting the proposed plat of MIAMI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, which is located
between Flagler Street and S.W. 3 Street and between S.W. 24 Avenue and S.W. 25 Avenue.
Purpose of Item:
The purpose is for the City Commission to adopt a resolution accepting the plat of MIAMI SENIOR HIGH
SCHOOL and approving recording the same in the Public Records of Miami -Dade County, Florida
Information:
The Department of Public Works has reviewed this plat and has determined that it is now in order for
acceptance by the City Commission. The specific intent of this plat is to create two (2) tracts of land for (1) the
renovation and remodeling of the existing structure; (2) the construction of two (2) two-story buildings and one
(1) three-story building. The forgoing entails new construction of approximately 159,912 square feet of new
classroom buildings.
The proposed record plat entitled MIAMI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, which includes the closure and vacation
of S.W. 1 Street of Block 1 and S.W. 2 Street of Block 2, of CENTRAL PARK (Plat Book 7, Page 72), is a
replat of the property described in the attached legal description. The area platted consists of Two (2) tracts
containing approximately 682,388 square feet (15.67+/- acres). It is zoned G/I and R-2.
